Stuck booting from the DVD

It is recommended to boot from the DVD by holding the 'C' key at startup.  If instead, the DVD was chosen from the Startup Disk pane in System Preferences, rebooting the Mac after booting from the DVD will result in booting to the DVD again.  In order to boot back to your normal startup disk, hold the 'Option' key at startup.  This will bring up the Startup Manager, which lists the drives available for startup.  Choose the original startup disk by using the arrow keys or the mouse, and press enter to continue the boot process.

In some cases, users who have a wireless keyboard and mouse may have trouble getting the DVD to boot or seeing the Startup Manager.  In this case, tapping the space bar briefly prior to holding the option or C buttons may be helpful.
