I can't remove an eDrive from a previous version of TechTool Pro.

If you are unable to remove your eDrive, please verify that you are using TechTool Pro 6, version 6.0.2 or later.  If not, please choose Check for Updates... from the TechTool Pro 6 menu.

If you are using the most up-to-date version of TechTool Pro and are still unable to remove your eDrive, you may use the following procedure to remove it.

If you are using Mac OS 10.5.5 or later, use Disk Utility (/Applications/Utilities) to remove the eDrive. With Disk Utility, select the physical hard drive that the eDrive volume currently resides and then click on the Partition tab. In the Volume Scheme portion of the Partition tab, click on the eDrive volume and then click on the "-" square button to remove the eDrive partition. You'll be asked if you want to remove this partition, proceed with removing it.

Now, you'll want to reclaim the free space that the eDrive had back to the original partition. Drag the grow corner for the bottom-most partition to fill the gray space and then click on the Apply button. You'll be prompted to Partition. Proceed with partition to return the free space back to the parent volume. This will restore the partition space once used by the eDrive volume that has been removed.
