If you wish to update the operating system on the eDrive, we recommend removing the current eDrive first. To do this, use the “Remove eDrive” button in the eDrive tool. Afterward, recreate the eDrive using the updated operating system as the “OS X Source Volume”. This will ensure that the eDrive has the latest operating system version for optimal performance and support.
