Creating a Protogo Memory Disk on an 8G disk 13 Mar 2012 07:03 #2088

Where are the directions on how to create an 8G Protogo Memory Disk? I've downloaded the installer and another bootable dmg. Do I need both to create the Protogo?

Run the Protogo installer to install the program. Then launch the program, and use the Intel profile for an Intel-based Macintosh, or the PowerPC profile for a PowerPC based model (only Intel-based models can boot from USB devices). The Basic profile, which uses system software files from your installation of Mac OS X, is too large to fit on an 8 GB USB memory stick. Once Protogo is installed, you can read the instructions in the manual from the Help menu. The manual is also available in both html and pdf format: MicroMat Product Manuals.
