Can't unmount internal drive with protogo device with basic profile 09 Feb 2012 20:38 #1941

When I boot a usb stick with basic profile, I can't unmount the local drive, it says it's being used by a program while no program is open. So I can't run all disk tools...

The most common reason why a volume cannot be unmounted is that it has open files on it. Please see the instructions for using the lsof command near the end of the thread. The lsof command will find the open files, and identify the process that has them open, so you can quit the process.
