Main drive on iMac 27 (late 2014)nRunning El capitan 10.11.3 will only boot to e-drive or disk utilities. Any suggestions besides removing TTP 8

You can try removing the program, but simply installing TechTool Pro just writes a collection of files to the volume. There is no reason why simply installing the program would make the volume on which it was installed unbootable, unless the volume already had significant disk directory damage, and installing the program made that damage worse, as would any large write operation.

Until you boot from the volume on which the program was installed, launch the TechTool Pro application, and then allow it to install the TechTool Protection system preferences pane, the program does not launch any of its background processes, such as the TechToolProDaemon, or the TechToolProAgent.

I think you should check the disk directory of your usual startup volume. Also, try booting with the Shift key held down, to perform a Safe Boot.
