Mac version 10.7.5 Lion and Protogo 18 May 2019 18:12 #11083

I have what I refer to as one of my legacy iMac's running Lion ( mac version 10.7.5 ) and using TechTool Pro 7 for maintenance .

Is it possible to create/use a Protogo USB drive for maintenance ?

Protogo was not part of TechTool Pro when TechTool Pro was at version 7. (It was sold as a separate program.)

You could format the USB drive using Disk Utility, to have a GUID partition map and a single Mac OS Extended (journaled) volume on it, and then create an eDrive on the USB drive.

Thank you for your valuable information and your time in responding .

Actually i purchased TechTool Pro 7 at the time it was released
although at that time i was not fully aware of the power of TechTool Pro 7 as a maintenance application .

These days being at TechTool Pro 11 i am somewhat more cognizant of the power of the application .

I will try your suggestion in creating an eDrive on a USB drive .
