OS 10.8.3 and TechTool 6.0.6. IMac with lots of space on hard drive and eDrive.

I can install Drive Genius 2 on the eDrive but not Drive Genius 3.2.2 Installation fails when it is supposed to install a helper ap and I get a message "Failure to Launch" (57) Contact Prosoft Engineering tech support."

Did that. They are very surly. Snarl that they don't have anything to do with TechTool.

There are two possibilities. One is that the Drive Genius installer must be run from the active boot volume, so it would have to be run while the Macintosh is booted from the eDrive, and the other is that the program requires some file or directory that is not part of the subset of an installation of Mac OS X that is copied to the eDrive when it is created. The best way to investigate that is to see where the 3.2.2 installer put the files when you ran it on your usual boot volume.

The easiest thing to do would be to ask the makers of Drive Genius for the names and locations of its files.
