making bootable DVD 01 May 2013 09:02 #3976

This has probably been asked many times so please excuse the repetition. Is it possible to make a bootable DVD/flash drive of the downloaded version of TTPro 6?

Assuming that you have an Intel-based Macintosh, the best thing to do is to create an eDrive. You can do that on a USB memory stick of at least 32 GB capacity, formatted with Disk Utility to have a GUID partition map and one Mac OS Extended (journaled) volume.

Running the program from a bootable DVD is not the best approach, because when the Macintosh is booted from a locked volume, virtual memory cannot be used, and no log files can be written. Running out of memory in the middle of replacing a disk directory is not a good plan. Instructions for making the bootable DVD are at:

The dmg file of the bootable DVD can be downloaded from your Available Downloads, at the bottom of the My Account page.
