Crash on Searching Directory Backups 10 Oct 2019 22:20 #11439

Running High Sierra, 10.13.6. When I try to search a Directory Backup for a drive I accidentally erased in Disk Utility, I will get a OS prompt saying that TechTool wants to install a new helper program, enter my password. Then, Techtool briefly displays a percentage completion screen, and then crashes.

Excerpt from crash report is as follows:
Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000
Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY

Application Specific Information:
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidReceivePortException', reason: 'connection went invalid while waiting for a reply'
terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException
abort() called

Any help?
