Issue with encrypted drives 01 Jul 2014 13:32 #5578

I am getting the following error in Checkmate: "Found a partition structure error for device 1 TB APPLE SSD SM1024F Media" which is my internal SSD.

The problem I believe is how I have the drive setup with Boot Camp. The OS X partition is encrypted with FileVault, and the Windows partition is encrypted with BitLocker.

Is there a way to disable this test on the internal drive?

There is no way to disable the test of the partition map.

I suggest that you open Disk Utility, select the device (not a volume on it) and use the Verify Disk button, to check the partition map. The text output, which may be difficult to read in the screen capture posted below, looks like this:

Verifying partition map for “G-TECH”
Checking prerequisites
Checking the partition list
Checking for an EFI system partition
Checking the EFI system partition’s size
Checking the EFI system partition’s file system
Checking all HFS data partition loader spaces
Checking Core Storage Physical Volume partitions
The partition map appears to be OK

Also, view the Checkmate log and see if earlier runs of the partition map test that took place after the last time you modified the partition map found any error.
