Checkmate, version 1.1.9, is the final update for the application, and full compatibility ended with macOS 10.15 ‘Catalina’.

If you are using macOS 11 ‘Big Sur’ or later, recent changes in macOS have caused issues that likely cannot be fixed, particularly affecting Checkmate’s automatic scheduling functions. As a workaround, you can hold the Option key while clicking on the Checkmate menu bar icon and select ‘Start Testing’ to run Checkmate’s tests manually.

The Checkmate application was originally designed to automate the testing functions of Techtool Pro.
