3.1 Upgrade Question - 2010/06/11 19:54 I have TT3 on cd. It has a serial number and works fine on my 10.5.8 drive (even though TT3 says some apps were not tested ) I just got a Mac Pro with 10.6 and will take my 10.5.8 drive and use it and a second drive. From what I read TT3 will NOT work on a 10.6 drive and I need to know what to do.

Upgrade to 3.1 or to 5?

Please advize

Re:3.1 Upgrade Question - 2010/06/12 04:56 DO NOT use TechTool Pro 3 on a drive that has been used with Mac OS X 10.4, let alone 10.5. It is not compatible with a new feature in the disk directory introduced with Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), the Extended Attributes file. It is also incompatible with the multiple hard links to folders introduced in Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) for Time Machine.

You are eligible for the upgrade to TechTool Pro 5.0.7.
